This trust affirmation card is a perfect reminder to trust yourself, your process, and your path as you make your way through a confusing world. A great card for self or other, and nice used as a gentle reminder on a personal altar. The photograph I used to create the purple iris mandala is printed on the back of the card with the photo location and a special wish for the recipient.

5″ x 7″ folded card is digitally printed using high-quality pigment inks on silky, bright white, acid-free paper. Interior of the card is blank and the paper is super smooth, not slick, and takes gel, ballpoint, and other inks well. It comes with a beautifully made, bright white envelope. Tucking a Dancing Spirit sticker in the envelope makes for the perfect little gift.

About the Art. The mass of Siberian iris that inspired the mandala, titled Dancing Spirit, bloom in all their glory each May at the end of my driveway on Pleasant Hill, near Morgantown, West Virginia. They get more spectacular each year as the clump of blade-shaped leaves expands, sending up more and more beautiful purple blooms.

Iris is a very special and revered flower. Almost every culture acknowledges the special attributes of this plant. The leaf is said to be the blade that entered Mother Mary’s heart at the Crucifixion of Christ. The leaves are also associated with a trifecta of positive human attributes: faith, wisdom, and valor.

In Chinese tradition, the flowers are celebrated as the dancing spirit of summer. I share with you my own dancing spirits of summer… may they evoke joy and peace, wisdom and valor, and a mother’s love.
