Purple coneflower mandala card digitally printed using archival pigment inks on silky, bright white, acid-free paper. Folded card is 5.25" by 5.25" and comes with a beautifully made, bright white envelope. The paper is super smooth, not slick, and takes gel, ballpoint, and other inks well. The photograph I used to create the artwork is printed on the back of the card with the photo location and a little story. Perfect as a Valentine, birthday card, or an everyday card to share your love. Can be a fun altar card for heart opening. The card and envelope are packaged together in a plastic sleeve and mailed in a stiffened mailer. Framing. This pink coneflower card is created using high-quality materials, such as might be used in a museum. The print is sharp, bright, and frameable. To protect the vibrancy of the artwork, I frame using UV glass or acrylic, and I recommend it. If you use plain glass or acrylic, make sure you hang this sweet, little piece and all your beautiful art away from direct sunlight.

About the Art. The digital collage on this card, titled Coneflower of Love, was created from this photo of a purple coneflower taken in one of my flower beds on Pleasant Hill, near Morgantown, West Virginia. Although a prairie plant and not native to all regions, purple coneflower is ubiquitous in native plant and pollinator gardens throughout the U.S.

The sweet miniature heart in this piece began as a notch in one of the flower petals. This was one of the very first mandalas I created and I was quite intentional about the photo I took, lining the shot up just right to produce the heart, which I replicated eight times. The number "8" was also intentional. It’s symbolic of infinity, as is the round shape of the mandala, so there's a double message here of endless love. The rich, velvety green of the background is meant to evoke a crushed velvet box in which a treasure might be presented to a true love.
