Daisy Mandala Card – Closed Canopy
$6.50
Daisy mandala features bright greens and yellows plus an eight-pointed star, sacred in many traditions and felt to carry the energy of hope, balance, and new beginnings. Printed as a 5.25″ by 5.25″ museum-quality folded blank note or birthday card, this piece can be framed or sent as a greeting. The primary photo I used to created the mandala is printed on the back of the card with location info and a little story. Very nice for someone setting out anew.
Note: one or two cards are shipped USPS First Class without tracking. Three or more cards are shipped via the most economical means, which usually includes tracking.
Daisy mandala mandala card digitally printed using pigment inks on silky, bright white, acid-free paper. Folded card is 5.25" by 5.25" and comes with a beautifully made, bright white envelope. The paper is super smooth, not slick, and takes gel, ballpoint, and other inks well. Perfect as a late summer birthday card or frame it as a little gift for yourself or someone else. The photograph of an oxeye daisy that I used to create the mandala is printed on the back of the card with the photo location and a little story. Interior of the card is blank or choose greeting from the choices below.
Interior Message Choices: Blank, Happy Birthday
Shipping. The card and envelope are packaged together in a plastic sleeve and mailed in a stiffened mailer. One or two cards are shipped USPS First Class without tracking. Three or more cards are shipped via the most economical means, which usually includes tracking.
Framing. This card is created using high-quality materials, such as might be used in a museum. The print is sharp, bright, and frameable. To protect the vibrancy of the artwork, I frame using UV glass or acrylic, and I recommend it. If you use plain glass or acrylic, make sure you hang this sweet, little piece and all your beautiful art away from direct sunlight.
About the art. The digital collage on this card, titled Closed Canopy, was created using this photo of an oxeye dairy taken on the Third Winchester Battlefield near Winchester, Virginia. Daisies and other composite flowers, which lay flat and provide ample landing space, are preferred by large butterflies in particular and should be included in your pollinator garden.
This mandala started as just a pretty piece featuring a daisy flower, but became so much more. The bright green stem poking up between a pair of petals became a wide ribbon of green, folded into a precise eight-pointed star. Eight-pointed stars are important in many traditions, and are often associated with hope, balance, and new beginnings. Variations in the petals, which I enhanced with a little yellow, became tree trunks and branches, reaching up into the spring green star and new beginnings.
