Zinnia Pop is part of my 2016 Pop Series of vibrant reconstructed single blooms. I have a special love for zinnias, especially the big old-fashioned varieties. My grandfather planted rows of them every year in his vegetable garden. The bright kaleidoscopes of color marched beside the corn, tomatoes, and pole beans likely as a testament to a tradition begun by earlier generations who also enjoyed the blooms and hordes of pollinators that they attracted. The orange of this particular flower is often associated with creativity and feels of unbridled excitement or euphoria. May you find fuel for your creative endeavors and a bright splotch in your day when you gaze upon this mandala.
Enjoy this piece as a high-quality 10″ x 10″ giclee print on fine watercolor paper, beautifully prepared in a golden brown wood frame with acid-free, round-cut pine green mat and UV acrylic glazing. The finished size is approximately 12″ x 12″, including the frame—big enough to allow you to dive in and really enjoy all the fine detail of the mandala. If you plan to use or gift this mandala as a mediation piece, this is a nice size. A copy of the original photo and the story of the piece are included on the back.
