Description

This mandala greeting card is a Milkweed Rising exclusive and is printed from an original work of digital art created by Linda S. Gribko. Zinnia Pop is part of my 2016 Pop Series of vibrant reconstructed single blooms. I have a special love for zinnias, especially the big old-fashioned varieties. My grandfather planted rows of them every year in his vegetable garden. The bright kaleidoscopes of color marched beside the corn, tomatoes, and pole beans likely as a testament to a tradition begun by earlier generations who also enjoyed the blooms and hordes of pollinators that they attracted. The orange of this particular flower is often associated with creativity and feels of unbridled excitement or euphoria. May you find fuel for your creative endeavors and a bright splotch in your day when you gaze upon this mandala.

This blank card makes a vibrant, retro Everyday, Birthday, or “Celebration of Summer” greeting. It’s 5″ wide and 7″ tall and is printed on premium 100 lb. white matte paper, suitable for framing. A white envelope is included. The original color photo and story of the piece are printed on the back of the card.

Please note the watermark shown in the photo does not appear on the printed card.

Linda Gribko is an author, artist, and photographer living in Morgantown, West Virginia. She's known for her wildflower photography and the mandalas that she creates from her nature photos. Her quirky first novel, "Giving Voice to Dawn", was published in November 2016. It's the magical romp of a woman plucked by the Universe from the cubicles of Corporate America and dropped into the crease between "this world and that" where Spirit Animals carry messages, disembodied voices spout wisdom, and you never know who might show up to walk you back home.
