Spring Calliope Mandala Greeting Card

This mandala greeting card is a Milkweed Rising exclusive and is printed from an original work of digital art created by Linda S. Gribko. The photo of ranunculus and viola blooms that I used to create Spring Calliope is from the same session that produced the photo for Exploration Party, which features a ring of ants marching resolutely across a yellow field. In creating Spring Calliope, I’ve tapped more of the deep, rich colors of spring that graced my front stoop a few years ago. The finished mandala is bright, fun, and reminiscent of something you might find on a carnival poster or calliope wagon (which back in the day was a steam organ capable of playing very loud music that was pulled through the streets in a brightly covered wagon when the circus was in town). Contemplate this mandala when you’re looking for a little pop of joy in your life

This blank card makes a fun Everyday card or Birthday greeting, especially for a child’s big day. It’s 5″ wide and 7″ tall and is printed on premium 100 lb. white matte paper, suitable for framing. A white envelope is included. The original color photo and story of the piece are printed on the back of the card.

Please note the watermark shown in the photo does not appear on the printed card.

Linda Gribko is an author, artist, and photographer living in Morgantown, West Virginia. She's known for her wildflower photography and the mandalas that she creates from her nature photos. Her quirky first novel, "Giving Voice to Dawn", was published in November 2016. It's the magical romp of a woman plucked by the Universe from the cubicles of Corporate America and dropped into the crease between "this world and that" where Spirit Animals carry messages, disembodied voices spout wisdom, and you never know who might show up to walk you back home.
