This mandala greeting card is a Milkweed Rising exclusive and is printed from an original work of digital art created by Linda S. Gribko. Plenty for Two continues my series of mandalas celebrating the hardworking and beautiful bumblebee. I found this particularly lovely individual hard at work on purple asters in the Children’s Discovery Garden at Phipps Conservatory and Botanical Gardens in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania. The finished mandala, with its interlocking strong vertical lines, will play tricks on your eyes as you contemplate it. And, as you contemplate it, remember that bumblebees–faithful pollinators that they be–need our help to thrive. You can lend a hand personally by tending a pollinator garden full of native flowers free of pesticides, including neonicotinoids and by leaving at least a bit of your garden messy and undisturbed after the growing season in deference to over-wintering bumbles.
This blank card makes a wonderful Everyday or Birthday greeting. It’s 5″ wide and 7″ tall and is printed on premium 100 lb. white matte paper, suitable for framing. A white envelope is included. The original color photo and story of the piece are printed on the back of the card.
Please note the watermark shown in the photo does not appear on the printed card.
