Lemongrass Fiestaware Box with Drain Hole

$15.00

Lemongrass Fiestaware box with hand-cut 1/2″ drain hole began as a covered trinket box, but is now the perfect home for a medium sized succulent, a petite fern, or a collection of small cacti. This substantial piece of pottery is approximately 2 1/2″ tall, 4 1/2″ wide at the rim, and about 2 1/2″ wide at the base. It’s big enough for a dish garden of mini succulents but could also look great holding a larger specimen or small fern.

Although seconds, the Fiestaware boxes I’ve sourced look pristine with even glaze and no obvious flaws. Perfect for gifting.

Lemongrass Fiestaware box with drain hole began as a covered trinket box, but, sans a lid, is now the perfect home for a medium-sized succulent, a small fern, or a collection of smaller plants. This petite box is approximately 2 1/2" tall, 4 1/2" wide at the rim, and about 2 1/2" wide at the base. It's finished with a bright lime glaze known in the Fiesta world as "lemongrass", and is the perfect home for small to medium succulents of all types, including flat, round Echeverias, which look fantastic in a square planter. Make this bright planter a focal point in your collection or gift it, planted or not, to your favorite plant parent.

Your lemongrass Fiestaware box will be bright lime and nicely shaped, but the pieces I sell are factory seconds, so you should expect some variation in glazing or small flaws, such as tiny bumps, in the the surface of the pottery. Glazing variations might include inconsistent coverage with some areas, such as a rim, appearing lighter than the rest of the piece. I choose the best I can find, however, and many pieces have no discernable defect. A perfect pieces might be overstock or glazed in a retired color. All the pottery I sell is authentic Fiestaware and, as such, is bright, fun, heavy, and made to last for generations. All this being said, however, the trinket boxes I've sourced all look pristine; they're just missing their lids.

Linda is best known for her wildflower photography and the digital mandala art she creates from her nature photos, but is also a mixed media artist and published author. Her quirky first novel, "Giving Voice to Dawn", was published in November 2016 and was followed up with "The Lion's Apprentice" in June 2020. The series follows the magical romp of a woman plucked by the Universe from the cubicles of Corporate America and dropped into the crease between "this world and that" where Spirit Animals carry messages, disembodied voices spout wisdom, and you never know who might show up to walk you back home.
