Description
Bright and energetic, this mandala exudes powerful 2nd chakra energy that fills up any room. “Get your creativity on, people!”, it nearly screams. The original photo (taken two steps from my front door in West Virginia), is really not much to look at–a ratty orange nasturtium with some leaves in the background. However, the insect-chewed petals are what give the piece it’s interest and 3-dimensional pop.
This piece was an alternate for the Dickirson Gallery’s Origins show at Tamarack: The Best of West Virginia, which took place in autumn 2014.
Enjoy this piece as a high-quality 14″ x 14″ giclee print on heavily textured watercolor paper, beautifully prepared in a golden brown wood frame with acid-free, round-cut cream mat and UV acrylic glazing (which helps prevent fading over time). The finished size is 16″ x 16″, including the frame; big enough to allow you to dive in and really enjoy all the fine detail of the mandala. If you plan to use or gift this mandala as a mediation piece, this is the perfect size. A copy of the original photo and the story of the piece are included on the back.
