Messages arrive as clouds of indigo sparks—spinning and whirling, ricocheting off one another before scattering in the winds.
These particular sparks flew by in September 2017.
Last week, we received a message of Sacrifice, Success, and Trust that seemed to be pointing the way toward some movement. The follow-up message this week further explores this energy with an Emphasis on TRUST.
I used the Chrysalis Tarot for a storyboard spread to be read from left to right. I read all cards in the upright position, because that was the intention I set as I pulled cards. Read my interpretation of the message, but also take the time to feel into the cards and ask for a message specifically for you. I might miss nuances that are important to you as an individual.
From left to right the cards are…
Seven of Scrolls (Indecision): Ah, here we are back in our heads with a card representing Air, The Mind, The Intellect, and Communications. We appear a bit stuck as we stare at the door that, by all indications, we should pull open. Something’s bothering us, it seems. We’re not comfortable with the easy answer…the obvious way forward. Instead, we’re entertaining that little niggling thought that maybe, just maybe, we should go a different direction.
Moon (MA 18 – The Moon): The Moon now appears to nudge us toward accepting the intuitive guidance that’s suggesting that different direction. There’s an indication here that it will be preferable this week to allow our intuition and emotions the lead. If it feels right, gravitate toward it. Now’s not a time to analyze. In fact, analysis will definitely lead to paralysis this week. Not a good thing, because…
Merlin (MA 0 – The Hero): …it’s time to step off the cliff. The Hero…The Fool…The Wizard (I don’t quite get the Merlin connection in this deck, but will play along) is here to signal something new. In keeping with the Two of Stones from last week, it’s time to trust…time to step off, even if you’re not quite sure that the ground beneath you will support your weight. There’s also the message here that you’ll really just have to move forward without knowing if you’ve opened the correct door. Remember that you’re on the spiral path…additional opportunities will come back around, so there really is no “wrong choice”…just don’t stand at the door rotting all week…tap into your guidance, make a choice, and step off your metaphorical cliff.
Overall: Notice that I again received “it’s impossible to make a mistake”, so grab a door handle and pull. I’m also being drawn to the the human figure on the tiny island in the Moon card. I’m very much feeling celebration there, rather than isolation. Allowing your emotions and intuition to hold sway this week is really going to feel good. There’s a feeling of non-attachment to the opinions or direction of others that will be worthy of celebration.
I wish you great joy,
Are you interested in a personal reading? Well, I’m planning something coming up soon…probably! Am busily writing the sequel to Giving Voice to Dawn, so haven’t scheduled yet. Could be we’re angling for Equinox timing!
Last week, we received a message of pacing ourselves as we stayed out of the fray while detaching from negative thought patterns. Remember Heron stalking his prey quietly and unhurriedly from last week, and continue to feel into that energy this week—once again we’re not in a hurry. However, this week the focus moves decidedly outward.
This week, I used the Chrysalis Tarot for a storyboard spread to be read from left to right. I read all cards in the upright position, because that was the intention I set as I pulled cards. Read my interpretation of the message, but also take the time to feel into the cards and ask for a message specifically for you. I might miss nuances that are important to you as an individual.
From left to right the cards are…
Five of Scrolls (Sacrifice): We’re starting this week with a challenger card. Fives usually represent something that’s standing in our way, or at least giving us pause. The pause here is in the realm of The Intellect, The Mind, and Communications. The implication is that our intellects are stuck in a stone. Given the rest of the message, especially the second card in the spread, the implication here is that we might be a bit too self-involved. We’re thinking that our problem is the most important problem and might just be spending a tad too much time investigating our own navels. Application of will or thinking up a fantastical solution to our problem isn’t going to cut it this week. In fact, those efforts will likely serve to gather negative thoughts and energies in even closer. Give up the mental struggle this week and instead…
Six of Spirals (Success): …acknowledge the fact that success is already here. As a Spiral, this Six is associated with Action, Energy, and Creativity. The card symbolizes an energetic shift or transition. So, instead of continuing to focus on the specific sword stuck in the stone this week, shift your energies to areas where you’ve already experienced success. Hang prayer cloths from trees (literally or figuratively) and celebrate your successes. In other words, willfully shift your energy from negative to positive and…
Two of Stones (Trust): …trust the path ahead of you. Even though it’s rocky, even though the crevasses are a bit concerning, even though your eyesight might not be the best. There’s a sense here of giving up control…leaving the sword behind in the rock and stepping out without all your ducks in a row. There’s, again, a sense of transition here…a new way of being in the Physical Realm, the details of which are not entirely worked out.
Overall: The Five of Scrolls has been popping up quite frequently of late. It’s a strong indication of the need for all of us to get out of our heads. We need not stew, panic, or try to exert control over things that we can’t wrangle. Things are in motion and we’re along for the ride, so we might as well fly our grateful flags, celebrate our successes, and take our next steps. I also just got “it’s impossible to make a mistake”…that’s related to those steps, that action…still go carefully as Heron (or as Bear balanced on boulders), but still go.
I wish you great joy (and freedom from sword pulling),
Are you interested in a personal reading? I’ll drop you a second email later today with an intuitive guidance offering.
Two weeks ago, we received a message of pausing, resting, finding some stability, pausing some more, resting some more…two weeks ago there was nothing for us to do but wait. Between then and now, we’ve had the Great Solar Eclipse (which I, by happenstance enjoyed on the Gettysburg Battlefield). There was a New Moon associated with the eclipse, so a fresh start. With all the peering into the darkness that we’re doing lately, however, it’s kind of hard to feel the freshness in the energy that’s moving in. And, given the message for this week, the movement will continue to be a bit paced…and the pace might feel slow for those of us in a perpetual hurry.
This week, I used the Wildwood Tarot for a storyboard spread to be read from left to right. I read all cards in the upright position, because that was the intention I set as I pulled cards. Read my interpretation of the message, but also take the time to feel into the cards and ask for a message specifically for you. I might miss nuances that are important to you as an individual.
From left to right the cards are…
Three of Arrows (Jealousy): This Three is at the beginning of the suit associated with The Mind, The Intellect, and Communications. Recall, we had the Two of Arrows in this position two weeks ago. Both the Two and the Three in this suit represent lower manifestations of the Mind…ways of thinking that feel heavy, negative, or that just hold us back. Although the keyword here is “jealousy”, I’m feeling strongly that any unproductive train of thought can be inserted. Think of this card today as representative of those thoughts and attitudes, behaviors or believes, that feel very much like a bloody, burning heart, shot full of arrows…not good.
King of Vessels (Heron): The King of Vessels has come back around (as if he ever left!). The message he brings today is one of addressing your emotions with a bit of logic. Logically detach from any bloody, burning heart craziness this week. You’ll be better off if you move carefully through the waters, like a heron stalking prey. Be quiet, don’t splash around, don’t make a big fuss…keep your eye acutely on your target and don’t worry about what others are doing…or what they may think of what you’re doing.
Four of Stones (Protection): Which leads us back to the Four of Stones, our bonus card of two weeks ago. Remember that the message here is of stability, grounding, and protection. I’m not sure if the sun is rising or setting, but there’s an overwhelming sense of calm in the illustration. That’s the calm you’ll feel when you put your quiver of arrows away and forgo any lower thoughts that may beckon you into their web. You are Heron this week—calm, logical, and unflappable.
Overall: Once again, we’re being cautioned to detach from the fray so that we don’t lose our footing. This might include peering into dark places, as Heron is a harbinger of the Underworld. Do your best to remain unrattled while keeping your arrows safely in your quiver. The pace is still slow, so take your time with things. Really feel into what you do this week, while trying your best to stay focused on higher thoughts and measured displays of emotion.
I wish you great joy (and good thoughts free of negative obsessions),
Are you interested in a personal reading? Well, I didn’t end up scheduling anything this week or last. I was carried back from Gettysburg on a whirlwind of ideas for my new book and needed time for things to settle. Expect to see an offering soon, though, as I know several of you would like a reading.
