Messages arrive as clouds of indigo sparks—spinning and whirling, ricocheting off one another before scattering in the winds.

These particular sparks flew by in June 2017.

I’m either getting better at reading the cards, or the message this week was so obvious that it smacked me in the head. Do you see it? A clear directive to stay out of the fray?

I used the Chrysalis Tarot for a storyboard spread to be read from left to right. I read all cards in the upright position, because that’s what the author of this deck specifies. Read my interpretation of the message, but also take the time to feel into the cards and ask for a message specifically for you. I might miss nuances that are important to you as an individual.

From left to right the cards are…

The Chariot (Major Arcana 7):  The Chariot today carries a strong message of racing forward in a slightly out of control conveyance (be it a chariot, a horse, or an old Subaru). Notice Herne with his sword above his head, ready to chop through anything that stands in his way. There’s lots of masculine energy here. In fact, it’s masculine energy that’s wildly unfocused…The Chariot often appears when you lose focus on your path and need to open back up to spiritual guidance. You may be feeling a bit out of control personally, or may be feeling impacted by an out of control society, out of control humanity, or an out of control situation in your life that’s causing you stress and anxiety.

Four of Spirals (Solitude):  Fortunately, we’re all got permission to pull away from the chariot races. Just heard, “not my monkeys”. So leave the monkeys in the dark forest, swinging their swords. Find your peaceful center and don’t feel the least bit guilty for “selfishly” isolating from crazy energies. While you’re there in your cozy cottage, do a little housekeeping…in particular, toss out any attachments you might feel to the craziness that’s going on outside your door. Yep, put that in a bag and set it on the curb…include in that bag any worry over how things (over which you have no control) might work out (either in your favor or not).

Queen of Stones (The Artiste) Focus, instead, on painting your own picture. The Queen of Stones is the ultimate master of the Physical Realm, and see how she’s living her life? Her path unrolls before her through a tranquil meadow, meandering past a tree that she feels no need to hack to the ground with her sword. She has a sword, no doubt, but this week she’s molded it into a brush, which she uses to calmly paint her way forward.

Overall:  Be like the Queen of Stones…the master of your own journey. Step out of the fray, detach from triggers, and enjoy the beauty of just being. It’s a good week to live very, very well on the Earth, while glancing over every now and again at the lunatics in the chariots. Shrug your shoulders at them and carry on at your own tranquil pace.

I wish you great joy (and tranquility),

Linda

Hello to all you who were meant to find this message, which is straightforward and related to a topic around which many have questions…MONEY!!! For a few, however, there’s a special message this week, which you can find after the general reading.

Two of Spirals (Choice):  This card from the suit associated with Action, Passion, and Energy is letting us know that a choice needs to be made. Which nest will it be? Nest A on the left? Or Nest B on the right? Some might say that the energy spiral in the nest to the left spins negative and that in the nest to the right spins positive, suggesting a good outcome given one choice and a bad outcome given the other. I don’t think things are this extreme, but we need to choose…trying to build both nests and then keep them tidy isn’t going to work out…that’s just too much to do…and neither nest will represent your best effort if you continue to feather them both. This card is early in the Minor Arcana of Spirals, so keep in mind that you might not know all you need to know yet…it may not be possible to make your choice, but know that a choice will be needed and set the intention to make one.

The Minstrel (King of Stones):  The King of Stones represents the senior masculine energy associated with the Physical Realm. In this deck, this card is very much connected to finances. The message is one of a financial mentor coming into your life or a confirmation of your physical and financial well-being. Coming after the Two of Spirals, there’s an indication here that making a choice and focusing your energy will bring you into a state of financial well-being; so, as you do your choosing, keep financial implications in mind. It’s not that you need to pick the nest that’s lined with the $100 bills…you don’t really have to figure out which one that is…but when an opportunity comes up to focus and choose, know that you’ll be okay financially with the choice that you make.

Ten of Mirrors (Peace) The Ten of Mirrors is associated with the Emotional Realm. As the highest numbered card in the suit, it suggests a high emotional plane…peace, love, joy, contentment, excitement…whatever feels good to you is here. As a 10, this card definitely suggests a new emotional cycle coming up. So, if you make your choice, the payoff will be both financial and emotional. The financial payoff feels like relief, actually…not overwhelming joy at having so friggin’ much, but relief in realizing you have enough and don’t need to worry.

Overall:  There’s a choice to be made this week, but don’t force it. It will come about and the outcome of the choice will be positive on many fronts.

A Special Alternative Message:  There’s also a special message here today. The illustration of The Minstrel looks very much like someone who passed last week—some reading this might recognize him, especially given the dog leaning against his leg. Know that this soul made a conscious decision to depart and is very joyful and at peace. He wants us to feel the same joy and peace.

I wish you great joy (and peace),

Linda

Interesting! Looks like we got some clarification of last week’s message.

Nine of Stones (Indifference):  Again, we’re leaving something behind in good order. This is the same card we saw in the first position last week. The message of this card remains the same…it’s a time of moving on, specifically in the Physical Realm. Note, again, that the woman is journeying out into the bright golden glow of something promising and…dare I say?…exciting! Remember to not look back. You’ve left things in good order and it truly is time to step out.

Two of Scrolls (Fantasy):  In the second position this week, we have the Two of Scrolls, featuring a winged purple-black unicorn. The immediate impression I got with this card was “expect the unexpected”. Actually, do more than just “expect”…seek the unexpected. Scrolls are associated with the Mind, the Intellect, and Communications, so this card might indicate a new way of approaching things intellectually OR might indicate some totally fantastical information communicated to you this week. Seek out the black unicorn this week…I believe an entire herd is waiting for you out there on the golden horizon.

Nine of Spirals (Perseverance) Note that we have here another Nine, this one in the suit associated with Passion, Action, and Energy. An energetic cycle is ending as a new one begins. Fresh winds are a-blowing and old stagnant energy is on its way out, to be replaced with a fresh jet of action and excitement (yes, the “e-word” again). My eye is drawn to the crows (magic and messages) and the watch (“there’s plenty of time…always plenty of time…don’t rush anything, but keep moving at the pace of the tick-tock, never-ending clock”).

Overall:  Again, follow the magic! Leave behind what has dogged you or has become dusty and dry. It’s time to move on, so expect the unexpected, recognize odd messages as Divine guidance, and allow the fresh winds to fill you up. It’s time to float above the fray.

I wish you great joy,

Linda

So, how did that weekend energy work out for you? I definitely felt the expansion, but was a little confused in terms of what to expect. In addition to the three Major Arcana cards for everyone, I pulled a personal card for myself (the Five of Spirals from this deck), which indicated a need for shadow work. I was irritated at the call for banging around in the shadows this weekend and wasn’t feeling it—I spent Saturday getting a bunch of work done at the computer and in the yard, and then spent most of yesterday out on the river in my kayak with a group of paddling friends. Definitely was a weekend of balance as I worked hard and then played hard. The shadow? Turns out it was someone else’s, which came up last night. Interesting, as always.

But, on to this week. I used the Chrysalis Tarot for a storyboard spread to be read from left to right. I read all cards in the upright position today, because that’s what the author of this deck specifies. Read my interpretation of the message, but also take the time to feel into the cards and ask for a message specifically for you. I might miss nuances that are important to you as an individual.

From left to right the cards are…

Nine of Stones (Indifference):  This special card indicates the end of a cycle in the Physical Realm. Remember that the indication here is a time of walking away from something with indifference. We’ve left things in good order, have played out the energy, and are calmly on to new pursuits. It feels very much as if we’re being intuitively called TOWARD something new or something expansive. See the golden glow of the sky? That’s important. Yellow is the powerful color of renewed or new energy. Feeling this as the center of the Sun calling us forward to shine. Whatever rocks we’ve piled up behind us will provide the grounding we need to feel safe as we move on into the Sun.

High Priestess (Major Arcanum 2):  This is the feminine magician card…an indication of the continuing role of magic and synchronicity in the current cycle. In the second position, this card seems to be suggesting that our movement at this time is being assisted. This feels like a big assist, rather than dozens of little nudges. Or a recognition of the big assist that has been recently extended. Just know that there’s magic in your life at this time and trust it to show you what you need to see.

Ace of Mirrors (Feelings) The “emotional fresh start” card. There’s a shifting of emotions coming up for us this week. The assist we get in moving along is going to be felt most strongly as a emotional shift. This Ace usually indicates a “good” emotional shift…a lightening up, new relationship, or (as I’m most feeling now) a release of bottled up floodwaters. I’m very taken by the sweep of water flowing from the mirror today. It’s quite possible that you’ll suddenly realize sometime this week that you’re not as emotionally tied to a situation (or relationship) as you thought…if so, ride that wave right out of the mirror…you have other waters to explore.

Overall:  The Phoenix of this weekend is very much associated with Judgment Day. Given today’s spread, it seems that our ability to judge our situation in the Physical Realm is very much at the forefront. Can we follow the magic and leave behind what is done, so that we can enjoy an emotional release or fresh wave of joy? That’s the question at play.

I wish you great joy,

Linda

Just when you thought I’d forsaken you forever, I’m back with a message. This one is a Weekend Oracle, just because it feels like a little short-term insight might be useful.

I used the Chrysalis Tarot this for a Past-Present-Future reading. This deck, with its focus on Nature and all things positive (with a softened glance into the shadow), seems right for the first few days of June. Remember that the first card in the spread represents the energy coming into the weekend, the second card suggests a choice we might make in response to that energy, and the third card suggests the outcome, should we make the suggested choice. I read all cards in the upright position today, because that was the intention I set…and it’s what the author of the deck sort of demands.

Read my description of the message, but also take the time to feel into the cards and ask for a message specifically for you. I might miss nuances that are important to you as an individual.

From left to right the cards are…

Past – The Magician (Major Arcanum 1):  Kicking off a spread of Major Arcana cards is The Magician. This card is always a strong indication of magic in the air. Can you feel it? It’s that edge of possibility that keeps you alert and expectant…that tingle of excitement indicating that something unseen is at play just beneath the surface. There’s a strong message of coming into the weekend without full control of a situation…chairs are being arranged at the party just out of our perception. There’s also an indication here of wishes fulfilled in most unusual ways.

Present – Temperance (Major Arcanum 14):  This is the BALANCE card. See the play among the elements in the illustration? Sun = Fire | Fish = Water | Butterfly = Air | Leaves = Earth. And I’m feeling them isolated like that…not mixed together. There’s an invitation here to be completely in the moment. Completely passionate. Completely grounded. Completely logical. Completely emotional. Whatever you’re pulled toward, dive in completely, but then balance that energy by diving into the next thing completely. This is not a muddled mash of “balance”….it’s a big weight on one end of the scale offset by a big weight on the other end. Really LIVE this weekend…experience it all…offset the extremes with more extremes. You’ll find yourself living in the center of the Sun…expanding outward, outward, outward into joy.

Future – Judgment (Major Arcanum 20) The potential outcome is a rebirth. A big, beautiful rebirth out of the ashes of whatever it is that you need to burn up in the middle of that there Sun. “Living in full color” comes to mind. Feels as if the Ravens pull back and cackle at us in glee as we roll into Sunday with our iridescent feathers all afluff. They’re definitely up to something, and it feels like a good something.

Overall:  A clean sweep by the Major Arcana is auspicious. If you have something big going on this weekend, do it in a big way. Stay open to opportunities to stay in balance, but don’t play small while attempting not to wear yourself out. Go ahead and get tired! And then enjoy the sense of peace brought by relaxing into something grounding. If feels very much like the reins have been tossed aside so we can really experience something over the next few days.

I wish you great joy,

Linda
