Original mandala art created using a photograph taken by Linda S. Gribko. ‘French Knots on Tapestry’ started as a photo of Oriental ladysthumb flowers against a blurred background of grasses. I created a rich tapestry from the background greens and browns and left the ladysthumb as photographed, evoking a sense of the pink flowers being stitched onto the tapestry. The piece celebrates the beauty hidden in the simplest of things.
