Original mandala art created using a photograph taken by Linda S. Gribko. This piece started as a photo of a pure white water lily growing in the lily pond at Biltmore Estate, Asheville, North Carolina, USA. I deconstructed the flower and put it back together in a way that makes you lean in to see the depths of the center. This was one of the first pieces I created and is perfect for meditation. My process involves color replacement and posterization using only a single photographic image. I tease all of the patterns and designs from the depths of the photo.
